OTHER INFO

IMPORTANT: THIS IS A "BRING YOUR OWN CAGE" SHOW!

Please plan to bring your own personal cage(s). We will have a few "emergency" pop-up zippered tents available for purchase at the show for $32.00/each (first come, first served). Dimensions are 31.8” x 20” x 20”; the cage does collapse for storage, and comes with a nice carrying case. You can see a picture here.

BENCHING & CAGES

Benching Request: Only one benching request will be allowed. If you list more than one, only the first request will be considered. Handicapped exhibitors will receive preferential and free end-of-row benching, if requested. All other end-of-row requests will be benched on a first-come, first-served, space-available basis at a cost of $15.00. The entry clerk will make every attempt to bench your cats per your request; however, the club does not guarantee that all benching requests can be honored due to space limitations and show hall configuration.

Benching/Cage Space: Benching is sold in increments of 24" deep x 48" wide (equals 1 double cage space). Top, floor, sides & back of your personal cage(s) must be covered. Per TICA rules, only 1 cat or 2 kittens per 1/2 double, and 2 cats or 4 kittens per double cage. If your personal cage is longer than 48", you must also purchase a grooming space to accommodate the extra width.

Exhibition/For Sale Spaces are sold for $45 in increments of 24" deep by 48" wide, and are available ONLY to exhibitors who have at least one cat entered for competition, provided space is available. You must complete an entry form for each kitten or cat on exhibition and/or For Sale. No cat or kitten will be allowed in the show hall that is not listed in the catalog. No sales are allowed from carriers. If you are bringing cat(s) for sale, you MUST purchase a "For Sale" cage space and comply with all TICA rules regarding maximum numbers allowed. (No more than 2 adults or 4 kittens in double cage).

Other Cage Requirements:

  • The top, floor, sides, and back of each benching cage must be covered.
  • Per TICA rules, only one cat or two kittens per single cage, and two cats or four kittens per double cage.
  • Exhibitors are encouraged to help spruce up the show hall with their cage decorations. However, if you choose to decorate your cage, please, NO SPARKLY SPRINKLES, CONFETTI OR BALLOONS.

This is a non-vetted show. Every cat that enters the show hall must conform to normally accepted health requirements and be up-to-date on its vaccinations. Front and back claws must be clipped. Cats from households with contagious or infectious illnesses within the last 21 days are ineligible for entry. Cats with suspected contagious or infectious illness or with parasites will be removed from the show hall.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Registration with TICA

For most registered breeds and household pets: With the exception of new breeds, registration with TICA is not necessary to compete in the cat's first show, but is required for the 2nd and subsequent shows and for confirmation of championships and TICA regional and international awards. Contact TICA for specific registration procedures.

For new breeds: According to TICA Show Rule 203.19, all Preliminary New Breeds (PNB) and Advanced New Breeds (ANB) must have a TICA registration number prior to entering any TICA show. No PNB or ANB may enter a show with "registration pending" status.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Household Pets

Household Pets from 4 to 8 months old are entered in the Household Pet Kitten class and can be either altered or unaltered. Household pet kittens must be 4 calendar months (not 16 weeks) of age to be shown. To compete on Saturday/Sunday, kittens must have been born on or before April 3, 2019; to be allowed in the show hall on Saturday/Sunday, kittens must have been born on or before May 3, 2019.

Registration with TICA is not necessary to compete in your cat's first show, but is required for the 2nd and subsequent shows and for confirmation of championships and TICA regional and international awards. Contact TICA for specific registration procedures.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Co-Owned Cats

Cats co-owned by members of two different households are eligible for the multi-cat entry discounts only if a Xerox copy of the cat's TICA registration accompanies the cat's entry. The registration must show the names of both co-owners. (If you are entering such a cat online, you must fax, mail, or email a copy of the registration to the entry clerk in order to receive these discounts.)

MISCELLANEOUS: Show Catalogs & MARKED CATALOGS

One show catalog is included free with your first entry. Additional show catalogs are $10 each. A limited number of catalogs will be available for sale at the front gate. The show committee accepts no responsibility for catalog errors due to illegibility or mistakes on the entry form. Marked catalogs are $10 each, and will be sent via email only!

MISCELLANEOUS: Ring Clerks & Ring Stewards

If you would like to clerk, please indicate this on the Summary Sheet. We will do our best to place clerks with the judges they request, but can make no guarantees. (We try, whenever possible, to keep 2-day clerks in the same ring all days, as this makes it much easier to bench clerks near their rings.) Clerks will receive lunch, plus $35, for each full day of clerking. Clerks will be paid after clerking; please do not deduct clerking fees from your entry form. Preference will be given to those in the TICA judging and clerking program.

If you have a child who would like to steward, please indicate this on the Summary Sheet. We will do our best to place stewards with the judges they request, but can make no guarantees. Stewards who do two rings will work in contiguous rings. Stewards will receive lunch, plus $20 per ring, for each full day of stewarding. Preference will be given to those in the TICA junior exhibitors' program.

MISCELLANEOUS: Food and Litter IN SHOW HALL

  • Cat litter will be provided in the show hall. Please bring your own cat food, food dishes and litter pans.
  • People food in the show hall: No outside food/drinks are allowed in the show hall. The hotel will have the "Pantry" open for your food & beverage needs on a pre-ordered or cash & carry basis during advertised show hours.

MISCELLANEOUS: Other Important Club Rules

  • With the exception of cats available for adoption by rescue organizations, no other cats or kittens are allowed in the show hall unless they are listed in the official show catalog.
  • No cat or kitten sales are allowed from carriers.
